Choose Constant Contact for SMBs

I prefer Constant Contact because it is reliable and offers complete features made for small to mid-sized businesses. The platform’s drag-and-drop editor simplifies the creation of professional-looking emails, and its extensive library of templates saves time. Constant Contact also excels in deliverability, ensuring our messages reach the inbox rather than getting caught in spam filters. The analytics dashboard provides actionable insights that help us refine our campaigns for better engagement and ROI, making it a trusted tool in our marketing arsenal.

Mailchimp: Comprehensive Marketing Platform

My favorite email service provider is Mailchimp. I’ve been working in the Mailchimp niche since 2020, and what stands out to me is how it balances ease of use with a powerful set of features. It’s not just an email service provider anymore—it’s evolved into a comprehensive marketing platform with tools like AI, SMS, CRM, and advanced analytics.

For eCommerce businesses, Mailchimp integrates seamlessly with popular platforms like Shopify and WooCommerce, offers excellent automation through Customer Journeys, and provides insightful analytics to drive data-driven decisions. As a Mailchimp Pro Partner, I also appreciate the dedicated support and the company’s continuous effort to innovate. While it’s not perfect in every area, the overall value it brings makes it my go-to platform.

Yahoo Mail: Simplicity and Ease

Yahoo Mail is my favorite email provider because I’ve been using it for so long, and it’s incredibly easy to log in and out. It’s not as complicated as Gmail, and, best of all, it’s free. The platform is well-designed, making it simple to navigate compared to others. While its security features may not be as robust as some other providers, this simplicity makes it hassle-free and easy to use.

HubSpot: Streamlined Marketing and CRM

I highly recommend HubSpot’s marketing tools.

HubSpot’s software helps our team stay aligned in our messaging and client experience. Features like email marketing, landing pages, forms, and CRM provide a cohesive system to attract and nurture leads. Pricing for small businesses is affordable, starting at $200/month.

We’ve used HubSpot for over 10 years, and it’s scaled with our agency. One client saw a 32% increase in leads within 6 months of implementing HubSpot. The all-in-one platform reduces costs by up to 75% compared to individual tools. Easy sharing and real-time reporting have been key to client success.

HubSpot’s education and certification programs have been invaluable for our team. We’re proud to be a HubSpot Solutions Partner, helping other businesses leverage HubSpot to grow. If you’re looking to streamline your marketing, I highly recommend starting with HubSpot. As the CEO of a digital marketing agency, I highly recommend HubSpot. My team and I have been using their software for over 10 years to manage both our agency’s marketing efforts as well as those of our clients.

HubSpot’s CRM helps us track leads and customer interactions in one place. Their marketing tools, from email campaigns to social media posting, save us hours of time by automating repetitive tasks. For clients, the analytics provide insights into what’s working so we can optimize their strategies.

Pricing for HubSpot starts at $50/month, affordable for small businesses. The platform is intuitive but also scales to enterprise-level needs. Over the years, HubSpot has added sales, service, and operations features to provide an end-to-end experience platform.

For digital agencies and marketing teams, HubSpot is invaluable. My team can collaborate in real-time, access campaign data on-the-go, and leverage a marketplace full of integrations. This boosts both productivity and results. Clients get a powerful, customized setup to attract and engage their audience—without the huge investment required to build similar systems in-house.

Customer.io: Superior User Experience

As someone who has used a majority of the most well-known email service providers (ESPs) on the market, my personal favorite is Customer.io. Although most ESPs are somewhat similar since they all do the same thing—build and send emails en masse—Customer.io stands above the crowd with their seamless user experience, their robust and easy-to-use drag-and-drop email builder, and most importantly, their customer service.

Klaviyo is a close second because of its reporting features and plethora of e-commerce integrations, making it a great ESP for e-commerce agencies. However, its user experience is among the worst I’ve ever used; Klaviyo’s email builder is extremely slow compared to Customer.io, which can be frustrating when you have tight deadlines.

ProtonMail: Secure, Encrypted Email Service

We rely on ProtonMail for its highly secure, end-to-end encrypted email services. It is one of the easy-to-use email services that follows a strict no-logs policy. Their easy-to-manage business plans help small businesses like ours enjoy hassle-free communications.

A few years ago, when my healthcare website was looking for an effective email solution for business communication, we found ProtonMail to be an all-in-one platform that helped us reach our clients securely and professionally. Suitable for businesses to protect their identity and prevent potential spam, it is one of the few email service providers that ensure HIPAA- and GDPR-compliant (ideal for healthcare-related services) business email services.

Apart from these features, ProtonMail’s pricing and plans are pocket-friendly. You can start with its free version, which offers 1 GB of storage, and as your communication needs grow, you can upgrade to the Mail Essentials plan that provides 15 GB of storage and unlimited messages.

If your business is searching for one of the most secure and private email providers, you can bet on ProtonMail. You can also set up a custom email domain for your business and enjoy its availability on different platforms. In my experience, its secure file sharing, cloud storage, and document editing features have made it a valuable entity in our communication process.

ActiveCampaign: Advanced Engagement Automation

My favorite email service provider is ActiveCampaign. I’ve found it to be incredibly versatile for automation, segmentation, and tracking. We used it effectively to boost re-engagement by setting up a dynamic email series that targeted inactive subscribers. By analyzing their past interactions, we tailored content specifically to their interests, sending personalized offers and educational content. This re-engagement strategy helped us recover nearly 25% of dormant contacts, driving them back to our website and increasing overall engagement. The automation features and detailed analytics make it a game-changer for any business.

G Suite: Organized Collaboration for Small Businesses

I highly recommend Google’s G Suite for small businesses.

G Suite’s tools like Gmail, Drive, and Calendar help my team stay organized and collaborate efficiently. With top security and spam filtering, we focus on high-impact work. Pricing is affordable at $6/user/month. For that, you get enterprise software and support.

We’ve used G Suite for over 5 years. It’s scaled with our needs and reduced client costs up to 75% versus individual tools. Easy sharing and real-time collaboration boost success. One client saw a 32% increase in admissions in 6 months.

The email apps’ intuitive interfaces mean quick onboarding for clients and staff. G Suite’s real-time document editing and version history help avoid confusion. The calendar’s appointment slots feature streamlines scheduling. Overall, G Suite boosts my own and clients’ productivity and organization.
