Klaviyo’s Intuitive Drag-and-Drop Editor

The email marketing platform I’ve found to have the best drag-and-drop editor for designing templates is Klaviyo.

I prefer it because of how intuitive and flexible the editor is, which allows me to create highly customized, professional-looking email templates without needing any coding skills. The interface is user-friendly, making it easy to adjust layout elements like images, buttons, and text blocks simply by dragging and dropping.

For example, when I was working on a campaign for an e-commerce client, I used Klaviyo’s drag-and-drop editor to quickly design a series of product promotion emails. The editor allowed me to easily place product images, customize CTAs, and organize content into a clean, visually appealing layout. It also offered advanced features like A/B testing for different templates, helping us optimize for better performance.

What sets Klaviyo apart is its flexibility in template design—you can start with pre-built templates or design from scratch, which is perfect for campaigns that need a unique, tailored touch. Additionally, the editor is fully responsive, ensuring that emails look great across both desktop and mobile devices.

Overall, Klaviyo’s drag-and-drop editor makes email design fast, simple, and effective, which is why I recommend it to businesses looking to create high-quality emails without the hassle of complicated design software.

Constant Contact’s Flexible and Efficient Editor

I think Constant Contact has the best drag-and-drop editor for designing email templates. Its flexibility and ease of use stand out, especially when balancing creativity with efficiency. During a recent energy awareness campaign, I used its editor to build a series of emails that featured interactive elements like clickable energy-saving tips and personalized plan recommendations.

The ability to drag and position elements, adjust colors, and preview on both desktop and mobile helped us optimize the design for a 32% higher click-through rate. I believe the platform’s image editing tools and built-in library of layout options make it incredibly convenient for creating professional, eye-catching emails quickly.

Mailchimp’s User-Friendly Drag-and-Drop Editor

I’ve worked with several email marketing platforms over the years, especially in my role managing website design and marketing programs. I think platforms with user-friendly drag-and-drop editors are critical for saving time and maintaining creative control.

In my experience, Mailchimp has one of the best drag-and-drop editors. I’ve used it extensively to help clients build visually appealing and functional templates. What I love most is how intuitive it feels. Whether you’re adjusting layout blocks, adding images, or customizing fonts, it’s straightforward and doesn’t require technical expertise.

Another strong contender is Constant Contact, which offers an editor that’s simple but powerful. I’ve noticed it’s especially great for small businesses because of its ease of use and responsive designs. You can preview how templates look on mobile devices, which is a big deal in today’s mobile-first world.

If I had to pick one, I’d lean toward Mailchimp, but both platforms stand out. I hope this helps! Let me know if you feature my response—I’d love to read it.

BeeFree’s Code-Free Template Builder

While many of the leaders in the ESP space have great no-code builders, my favorite tool is actually from BeeFree. This is a builder ONLY, not a provider, but offers code free design for templates, campaigns and more in their very easy-to-use interface. BeeFree’s default templates are a great place to start, there are many and they are easy to customize with your brand colors, images and content. They also offer wonderful preview tools, so sending out a proof for review and approvals is efficient, even for those who need to approve it from a mobile device.

BeeFree integrates directly with most ESPs, so if you’re using one of the major providers, you can connect the account and send your template right into your folder at the ESP site. If you are using a smaller provider, you can easily export your template via HTML and import it into your system. My one caveat for this and all tools is that you should ALWAYS run your new template designs through a testing system (like Litmus or Email on Acid) to make sure that your design meets all industry and accessibility standards. There’s nothing worse than launching a new design, only to receive an inbox full of replies that people can’t read it in Outlook.

Moosend’s Multifunctional and User-Friendly Editor

If I’m ever designing an email template, I can’t stress enough how much Moosend’s drag-and-drop email template should be used. It is more than just easy, it’s user-friendly and multifunctional. Allow me to share how it proved to be a game-changer for my campaigns.

As I began creating newsletters for the first time, I fumbled through programs that incorporated both a bit of coding and a selection of pre-designed templates. They routinely appeared to be very inflexible in the sense that even very minor tweaks to the design would be an enormous difficulty. Then Moosend popped up in my life. All this editor asks from me is to pull and place text boxes and images with my mouse to the precise spot without any design experience or understanding.

What’s an example of this? Last summer, I started a campaign for the self-paced course I created. One thing I was clear about though is that I needed a unique design, something interactive but still light enough to load relatively fast. I was able to put together a simple interface that incorporated a bold header, a visibility countdown, and a testimonials section, all in an hour with Moosend. I saved time due to the editor’s built-in content blocks, and the design displayed correctly on all devices because of the responsive preview.

Moosend’s greatest strength lies in its adaptability. In one of the campaigns I created for my company, I used split testing with two templates: one with a focus on images and the other written content. Certainly, with the help of Moosend’s editor, I was able to make the changes in the design, for example, change buttons and colors without creating new templates, which is awesome. I was surprised to discover that the visual template got my campaign 30% more clicks, thus demonstrating how important design is in a campaign.

I recommend Moosend for those who share the aspirations I have, email marketing requires so much creativity, and I truly don’t want to be getting dozens of different tech tools. It makes the design aspect of email engaging and easy, with no issues, just results.
