My background in software engineering got me into the marketing field. Contrary to popular belief, software engineering is not just about coding. It’s about developing a core understanding of the problem faced by your client and coming up with the most efficient solution for it.
So, while working in the IT industry, and even as a student and a consumer, I developed an understanding of technology and its impact on businesses. For a company or a business to succeed in this age, they need a fantastic product and an equally excellent marketing strategy to reach their target audience.
While working full-time, I started to dabble with different marketing tools and skills, and once I realized its potential, I took a leap of faith and started my digital marketing agency. My technical knowledge as a software engineer gives me a unique perspective to recognize my clients’ problems and helps bridge the gap between the technical and marketing realms.
My journey from a software engineer to a successful entrepreneur has been incredibly fulfilling. My technical knowledge has enabled me to find my true calling.
As a growth hacker, what sparked your interest in PPC, and how does it complement your expertise in software engineering?
While dabbling in different growth marketing avenues, I was looking into things that would complement my expertise in software engineering, and with its targeted approach, PPC seemed perfect.
With my technical knowledge, I found it reasonably easy to set up conversion tracking and utilize APIs. I optimize any campaign using data-backed decisions, which always results in a significantly higher conversion rate.
My unique blend of skills enables me to deliver exceptional results and drive substantial business growth.
Could you walk us through your journey of co-founding Softception and its services in IT, web, and digital media?
The founding of Softception happened very naturally. It was a progression of my increasing interest in the digital landscape and my technical knowledge and experience in the IT industry. I also want to create jobs and give back to the community.
Softception is a full-service digital agency that helps brands implement growth strategies to skyrocket their revenue.
Our experts specialize in business consulting, paid media, SEO, and analytics that deliver on branding and sales goals with zero compromises. We also do web design, full stack development, email & SMS marketing, and creatives.
With your extensive experience, what key strategies do you employ to effectively generate B2B leads?
In Softception, we employ key strategies to generate B2B leads effectively.
Content marketing is critical, so we create meaningful content that the target audience can connect with. We also rely on email marketing by creating a targeted list of prospects and reaching out to them with personalized and relevant messages.
Some other strategies are SEO, Social Media Marketing, and Partners and Collaborations.
As a SaaS specialist, I focus on creating a seamless and intuitive user onboarding experience. User retention is just as crucial as user acquisition.
The key is to engage with customers to increase customer retention, such as offering personalized support, regular product updates, a freemium version of the SaaS product, or a free trial period.
I like to optimize the content for search engines to attract organic traffic and generate leads.
Understanding their business by learning about their products, services, and targeted audience plays a crucial part for my clients.
I conduct extensive market research to identify the target audience’s needs. I work closely with my client to identify their unique selling proposition, and using that, I develop a concise and impactful brand positioning statement. This statement communicates the brand’s unique value proposition.
Furthermore, conducting a thorough analysis of the client’s competitors to identify their positioning strategies, strengths, weaknesses, and market share helps greatly.
Developing a solid content strategy is crucial. I focus on creating valuable, informative, engaging content that resonates with the target audience.
I ensure the brand’s visual identity is consistent across all platforms, using eye-catching graphics, professional photography, and compelling videos.
The use of hashtags can significantly enhance brand visibility and discoverability. I leverage advanced targeting options, such as demographics, interests, and behaviors, to reach the most relevant audience and maximize the return on ad spend.
How do you optimize conversion rates and ensure maximum return on ad spend (ROAS) and customer lifetime value (CLV)?
I use analytics, databases, and platforms to thoroughly analyze data, through which I can uncover insights and user behavior and quickly identify patterns.
Simplifying user experiences and ensuring that a straightforward and seamless journey is gone through makes my aim of improving conversion rates and the overall campaign much easier. I analyze ad performances regularly, which helps data-driven optimizations to improve ROAS.
What advice do you have for businesses looking to create compelling and engaging content that drives results?
Outlining your goals, objectives, and aims is essential, and making a content calendar helps me stay consistent, as consistency is the key.
I also pay a lot of attention to the quality of the writing so that it’s relevant to the audience and attention-grabbing. SEO implementation might be the best way to improve the discoverability and visibility of the content I have come across.
Actively promoting your content and engaging with your audience has shown quite a boost in traffic generation.
I rely on data analytics platforms like MixPanel, Adobe Analytics, and Google Analytics. These platforms help me with conversion rates, user behavior, and other crucial metrics. I use ab testing for optimizing marketing campaigns.
